Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes. I have persistent rashes on my torso. They burn and itch and keep me from being able to sleep. It has been going on for over a year. My dermatologist has tried steroids, shots and lotions. They help a little. He has me taking Itraconazole thinking it might be some sort of yeast infection. It, also, helps a little. year old woman.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I don't know why you haven't tried an antihistamine rather than all those tablets first. It is the first medication usually given for rashes. Kindly take cetirizine or Levocetrizine tablets for 3-5 days I think it will subside. I don't know how your doctor can tell it is a fungal infection, if so then you can try Itraconazole only.
Hope this info helps you sort out your problems. If you feel its helpful kindly give me user thanks vote. Happy health!
Regards, Dr. Archana
