What Causes Persistent Red And Itchy Bumps All Over The Body?

I have red itchy bumps on my body all over that are driving me crazy. I've experienced a lot of sinus problems and recently visited the doctor. They treated me with antibiotics and steroids. They don't seem to have a clue what is causing the red itchy bumps. They treated me for scabies and it still didn't go away. I also have a lump in the back of my throat and have trouble swallowing but have always contributed this to my sinuses. Any thoughts?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain persisting red itchy bumps over the body can bedue to causes like allergic reaction to any unknown allergen and can be any food or medication, while can also be due to allergic reaction to any detergent, skin cosmetic, leather, latex, poison ivy etc..
Other causes can be Scabies and hair follicle infection or Folliculitis..
But as the antibiotics, steroids and scabies treatment did not relieve, it seems to be most probably be due to allergic reaction..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take anti allergics like Allegra or Levocetrizine and steroids..
Application of steroid ointment and cool compresses can also be done..
Apply Calamine lotion to soothe the skin..
You can also be advised injectable steroids to relieve itching soon..
