Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I cooked salmon in a pan on the stove but did not know I could not place my silicone cooking pad underneath my salmon. When I realized that the silicone cooking pad was burning and falling apart, I remove the salmon from the pan and threw away the cocking pad. Ever since I ate that salmon, I have this awful smoke like taste in my mouth. Will I get really sick? This happens about 3 hours ago. please help.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain persistent smoky taste in mouth can be due to the smell of burning silicon that got incorporated into the salmon and you should not worry about it as gradually the smell of smoke will wean off..
Drink plenty of water and gargle with a flavoured mouthwash to mask the smell.. Chew flavoured sugarfree chewing gum.. Eat normally and do not panic as you will be absolutely fine..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
