What Causes Persistent Sore Throat?
34 year old male, 5'11", 180 lbs, no medical problems in the past. Healthy and active lifestyle. I have had a persistent sore throat that only comes at night and hurts until the morning. I went to a doctor three weeks ago and they gave me antibiotics, which I finished a week ago. A couple days after I finished the antibiotics my sore throat came back.

recurrence of sore throat alerts us about GERD(gastro esophageal reflux disease),and also u have more symptoms at night.
u better start proton pump inhibitor (pantoprazole 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks )
and also salt water gargling daily 2 times for about a week
