What Causes Persistent Stomach Upset Along With Green Stools?
I never drink but got really drunk last week and threw up. net dat thought i d have a little drink to calm stomach but all it did was make things worse. green stool cleared up after a day but had dinner with a bunch of tobacco and stomach next day was killing me. 2 days later I have green stool and still upset stomach.
It looks like you are infected with salmonells/giardia or E.coli. It could be food poisoning. Take antacids, PPI's (Pantoprazole-40mg), Spasmol (spasmoproxyvon) for relief. You can take Metro DS or loperamide(Imodium) to reduce stomach upset. Take antiemetics to stop vomiting.
Stay well hydrated, take electrol or ORS. Take small amount of semi solid food(porridge/oats/plain custard). However get CBC, Urinalysis & stool tests(C/S & R/E) done. If you are still throwing up visit ER. You may need medical aid urgently.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
