General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be an age dependent edema. However a renal function test and serum albumin has to be done because kidney dysfunction and low proteins can cause similar symptoms. In severe cases low dose diuretics may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
