What Causes Persistent Throat Pain And Hoarse Voice Despite Taking Medication?
I have Sarcoidosis was diagnoised in 2002 effecting my liver, just recently I have dry cough cronic swollen lymph nodes in neck hoarseness voice is gone totally started with sore throat woke up with next day runny nose sore throat taking over the counter nothing working went to ER. they called Pulmonary Dr. he prescribed prednisone 20mg take 2 daily for 4 days and cough syrup throat still hurts have hoarseness I m worried

You are having acute Laryngitis condition in which along with congestion voice also get affected. You can complete the course of prescribed steroid medication. The steroid help in relieving inflammation and so you will improve. Steam inhalation and warm water gargle also beneficial. If no improvement then CBC should be done and indirect laryngoscopy examination advisable.
