Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Throbbing Pain In The Ball Of Foot?
I am researching foot pain due to the pain I've had in the ball of my foot (only one foot). I notice also that when I palpate around the base of my 2nd and 3rd toe, there is a lot of tension and pain there as well. I have bunions in both feet, and have always had to buy shoes to accommodate my wide feet with bunions. Not sure if anything is related. I thought the ball of my foot pain was minor and would pass, but it is worse. I can't walk much in a day without it beginning to throb. I've been reticent to go to a Dr. because I don't know what can be done. Worried I'll spend a lot for x-rays or other diagnostics that are costly with no helpful solution. I'd appreciate some advice. Many thanks, Amy
