What Causes Persistent Tiredness And Severe Drowsiness?
my main concern is that I am tired all the time...I am 62...otherwise in reasonably good health...but I just want to sleep all the time...I am a teacher and even fall asleep in class...sometimes I nod off even when talking to students...it is embarrassing of course!
Hello and welcome to HCM, Feeling tired and going off to sleep at odd places is suggestive of a neurological disorder called narcolepsy. Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder wherein the sleep-wake cycle is disturbed. You need to consult a neurologist at the earliest. Certain investigations called sleep study will be required to monitor the sleep cycle and find out the root cause of sleep disorder. However, relax the condition is a disease and can be controlled with relevant drugs.
