What Causes Persistent Vaginal Bleeding After Having Intercourse?

I have been bleeding slightly from my vagina since Wednesday after having intercourse. The bleeding is not very heavy, nor is it getting worse. It has actually lightened but hasn t gone away. Is this something I should be concerned about or will it go away on its own?
