Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had my normal period November 10-15. I had sex Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning of that same week. On Saturday, about mid day, I started bleeding again and have been bleeding ever since. It s not constant and it was only heavy the first few days. I ll stop, maybe a day or two or a few hours, but then start again. I haven t had any other complications other than normal cramping. This week is the week for my next period and I start my new pack of birth control pills this coming Sunday. Could this be a serious issue?
Hello dear I understand your concern Your symptoms could be due to hormonal imbalance, cervix/endometrial dysplasia, endometriosis, adenomyosis, thick endometrium I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination,, reproductive hormone analysis, PAP smear/colposcopy to rule out the cause. Specific treatment will depend on the cause. Progesterone preparation and tranexamic acid can be used. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, maintain proper pelvic hygiene Hope this may help you
