Hi,my names are halima and i have this viginal infection which seem not to cease.I have tried medicine which i bought in phamarcy but it stops wen i consume them bit starts as soon as the medicines are over,is it normal??am really worried.some times it comes without smell, sometimes withs smell without itching.what is wrong...am using medicine for arthritics, can that be the reason??and am also sharing toilets with my neighbours can that be a reason??kindly help
Sharing toilet could be one of the reason for repeated vaginal infection. Taking medications for arthritis doesn't seem to correlate with the repeated infections what you are experiencing.
Since it is not subsiding completely upon taking medications, it would be advisable to undertake vaginal swab culture and sensitivity test. This would tell the nature of organisms and medications they are sensitive to.
Kindly consult Obstetrician with the laboratory report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
