What Causes Persistent Vertigo Post Recovery From Sinus Infection?

Hello, I recently recovered from a sinus infection but am having persistent vertigo when lying down and sitting up quickly. I am also having occassional dizziness with walking or quick head movements. Could this be labrynthitis? I finished a course of macrobid and am currently taking keflex for an ear infection. What should I do for the persistent vertigo?

Since you had a recent sinus infection, it is possible that this is related . There is also a type of vertigo called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) where the vertigo occurs with certain head positions.

With a history of symptoms in certain positions, it is possible that this is a cause as well.
This can be determined by physical examination and your doctor performing certain maneuvers in office. If it is BPPV, then doing the epley maneuver in office and at home will help it to resolve.

There are also medications that may help but they should only be used for a short time eg valium, dramamine
