General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Vomiting for multiple times in 2 hours is a matter of concern and medical attention is necessary. As you have not mentioned your son's age, assuming that he is a kid and whenever the children are sick, they usually are not able to understand or explain things that are creating trouble for them. So visiting a doctor is the best thing when it comes to children.

As he has vomited a lot, the chances of dehydration are more. There might be a need for intravenous injections to be given to stop further vomiting. Also with appropriate history, your doctor in the ER will be able to find out the cause behind it and provide proper medical care as well as if necessary he might advise some diagnostic tests for better evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
