What Causes Persistent Vomiting In A Child?

My daughter has been vomiting since Monday morning. She doesn t have a fever or any cold symptoms, but she cannot keep anything down. Even just a sip of water comes back up. She had one spoon of jello and about a cup of water all day today. I am worried about dehydration. Is there something I can do to prevent the vomiting? At what point do I need to take her in?

Hi,

You are right vomiting in children can causes dehydration. If she is otherwise fine, you may use Syp gravitate 3 times for the vomiting. The most importnat part is to give her fluids in from of milk, or oral rehydration solutions. Give it more and more even if she vomits it.
If at any time she stops taking feed, looks very exuasted, or sunken eyes, unabake to sit or play then it's time to take her to the ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
