What Causes Persisting Headache Long After Injury?
a tall thick mirrored wardrobe door fell on the back of my head over six a month a go, i have had bad headaches ever since, i went to A&E last sunday, the CT scan came back ok they said to take Burfin 400mg 3 times a day, but its not moving the pain at all, the pain is keeping me awake at nights also.. my neck feels really heavy and across the top of my shoulders, could they have missed something? what is my next step? thanx
Thanks for your question, there may be a small blood clot that have formed and draw fluid from the tissues around it, which makes the clot slowly get bigger. The increasing size of the clot causes a slow increase in the pressure within the skull and the surrounding brain tissue. Usually the first symptom of the increased pressure is a new, persistent, and increasingly severe headache.
