What Causes Persisting Vaginal Discomfort?

Hi

I have a sore throat and lower back maybe kidney and also an unusual discomfort in my vagina like I have a tampon or something kind of half out or something? Five nights ago I did leave a tampon in accidentally for c. 32 hours (as used a second one which must of pushed the first one in further and did not notice fit over a day but retrieved it then and get gone after). There has been a cold sore thrust chest infection thing going through my house also so these two things may be unrelated? Should I see a doctor as I am worried about the unusual feeling in my vagina?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Left over tampons can be dangerous and can cause discomfort, infections and even toxic shock syndrome.
If you are still feeling discomfort in the vagina, any left over tampon should be looked for.
There could be infection in the vaginal tract.
Is there any history of discharge from vagina?
If yes, then this could be indicative of vaginal tract infection.
Lower back is seen in association with reproductive tract infection so this could be related to the vaginal infection.
Sore throat needs to be treated with an antibiotic course.
If other family members are also suffering from sore throat or respiratory tract infection, they also need to be treated.
Consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and management.

Thanks and take care
