It is possible that the symptoms are related to the nerves in the area, abnormal function of the nerves is called neuropathy.
There are different possible causes such as:
(1) trauma to the nerves eg arthritis or prolapsed discs
(2)diabetes
(3) liver or kidney disease
(4) a side effect of medication
(5) exposure to toxins
(6) low levels of vitamin b12 or folate
(7) abnormal vitamin b6 levels
(8) abnormal levels of thyroid hormone
(9) infection
(10) neurological conditions such as MS
(11) autoimmune conditions such as RA, SLE. You should an assessment to see if you can find the cause for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
