What Causes Pink Color Under Eyes Of Kid?

My toddler (18 months) has a color of Pink/Purple under her eyes. It s where we would get our bags that is where the color is. She has breakouts of eczema elsewhere, but this looks and feels different. It does not feel dry at all, it just is very pink/purple color under her eyes. Is this a lack of a certain nutrient, perhaps? Any info would be appreciated.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Eczema is an allergic condition. Frequently children who have one sign of allergy can have another. Discoloration under her eyes is another sign of allergy. This is often associated with much rubbing. If this occurs, you may place a moist, cool washcloth over her eyes.

I hope this is helpful. Please return if we can assist you again.
