What Causes Pink Colored Vomiting?

I am a 36 year old female. I just vomitted after feeling fatigued and sick to my stomach for a couple of hours. I had eaten a blueberry yogurt before feeling sick. The vomit was light pink like pink lemonade and watery. Can the blueberry yogurt have caused that color?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably the pink colored vomiting is from blueberry drink. But, should observe if this color will persist in vomiting. If yes, then, we should focus of possible stomach ulcer.

Vomiting and feeling sick after eating a blueberry yogurt could be due to possible food poisoning. Drink only plain water with oral rehydration salts. If persisting for the following couple of days should go to the ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
