What Causes Pink Eye, Dry Cough And Soreness In Throat?

I got sick all of a sudden on Tuesday. I had the chills and a fever and felt faint. It went away the next day but I still had a cough. Friday, I awoke with pink eye on both my eyes and a sore throat and a dry cough. Finally Sunday morning I still have pink eye in both my eyes, a dry cough, sore throat, a runny nose, and a painful earache, which also developed quickly.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pink eye, dry cough and soreness in throat . There are some factors like our environment , heat , cold , pressure and sun exposure ,which can act as trigger factor . Insect bite , pollen and some plants can also cause such allergic reaction . The most important thing is to find the trigger factor or factory responsible for their occurrence . I would suggest you to give cold compresses to eyes several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl and do warm saline gasgles. If symptoms still persist the consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist for sore throat or ophthalmologist for eye problem . Stay in cool and moist environment , also keep yourself hydrated .
