What Causes Pink Rashes On Stomach And Back After Suffering From Fever?
My daughter had a stomach ache and a high fever thursday and friday. I took her to the doctor on Friday and he determined it to be a virus. She threw up a few times later on Friday and was really tired, but her fever broke Friday night. She started eating a little more and had more energy, but threw up again tonight and now has a rash on her stomach and back...it is very mild, but slightly raised pink bumps. Would this be a cause of the virus- viral rash? Do I need to take her back in to the doctor, or would this hopefully be the end of the virus?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
It seems to be stomach Flue- a viral infection. Continue with the medicines. Take her to doctor if excess trouble (fever and vomiting). Otherwise, rest, nourishing diet and lot of water would heal her in a week. If not she needs tests, please take her to treating doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
