Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 1 year old son has a few pink spots (rash like) on his chest, and as time goes on they are healing with brown around the outside, which is moving in as time progresses. His primary care physician thinks it s strep from the rash even though the test is inconclusive, but I m not sure I m convinced it s actually getting better.
Is there any itching or oozing? This might be an allergic rash or superficial infection as your PCP suggested. Anyhow, as it is coming down, we need not worry. If it recurs or persists beyond 7 days, kindly get back with a picture of the rash.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
