What Causes Pink Stools And Blood In The Urine In A 6-year-old?
my son, age six has been sick with stomach virus we thought that hasn;t seemed to go away. The pediatrician suspects h.pylori or maybe giardia but the stool tests have not come back yet. A little while ago his urine was noticeably pink. Its the weekend, do I need to page my doctor or is blood in the urine common with either of these diagnoses.

What Causes Pink Stools And Blood In The Urine In A 6-year-old?
Hi, The blood in stool is secondary to intestine infection with some sort of bacteria or virus. The pink urine is not due to infection, but it is most likely due to lack of oral fluid intake leading to dehydration, concentrated urine. Give plenty of liquids and observe the color of urine over the next 24 hours. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
