Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband wears contacts He is 65 years old. He has a bag under his left eye that is pinkish and swollen. He also has a bump between this same eye and the bridge of his nose that is swollen and redish in color. It is sore to touch. what is going on? he doens t want to go to the doctor and is trying to poke it to drain.
Goin by your description, It seems that he must be suffering from Dacrocystitis (Inflammation of lacrimal sac- the drainage system of tear from eye)
He would require oral antibiotics like amoxicillin with clavulunate twice a day for 5 days and pain killers and antiinfllamatory drugs like paracetomol with acelofenac twice a day for five days.
Add topical moxifloxacin eye drops five times a day for a week.
if it doesnt subside in 3 to 5 days - you will need to consult your ophthalmologist.
hope this helps
feel free ro follow up
