Hi I am 18 years old. My vaginal dischage has been pink and very clumpy. It shows up on my underwear and when I wipe it it is pink. I thought it was vaginal discharge mixed with blood but I dont know anymore. I am having an awful smell coming out of it as well. I have already had my period. I thought it may have been vaginitis but i'm not sure anymore. Any help?
Thank you for the question and thank you for visiting our site.
From what you are describing, this does not sound like your period. You have a vaginal discharge that has an odor and is blood tinged. The pinkish tinge is almost certainly related to blood. This can come from an infection of the cervix or from common vaginal infections. The only way to sort this out appropriately is for you to schedule a visit with your doctor, preferably an OB/GYN. They should perform an exam as well as cervical and vaginal cultures. This should lead to a definitive answer and treatment.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
