General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The pinkish vomiting the kid has could be due to irritation of inner lining of throat while vomiting especially following mild acidity in stomach which itself can irritate the mucus membrane.
You should try to give him diluted milk with natural essences like cardamom, saffron or nutmeg (so that he has taste), nicely cooked boiled rice in liquid and fine consistency, sago pudding with little milk and more of water with flavoring agent he likes. Give him plenty of water with ORS over the counter in between. Continue with medications as per his doctor's advise. Add some antacid with his approval. In case he shows signs of dehydration, take him to hospital for IV fluids. Don't be tense, be careful and positive.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
