What Causes Pins And Needles Over Heart While Having Diabetes?
I am a 72 year old male with 1 stent. I am diabetic & torally insulin dependent. At present I am experiencing slight pins & needles in my left arm. I have experienced intermittant pains over my heart. 3 weeks ago I visited my cardiologist & had a routine stress ECG with no negative results. Should I now be concerned with the pins & needles & pain over the heart? Best regards Melville

HI Welcome to HCM
Pins and needle sensation indicate Nerve Damage . It might have happened due to long standing diabetes . I advise you to get Nerve conduction study of your Left arm which will prove the diagnosis of nerve damage and also will show the extent of damage .
The treatment for it is Good control of Blood sugars . There are certain nerve regenerative medicines like Pregabalin , GAbapentin . Ask your physician for a prescription for these drugs and see the difference .
Kindly revert back after Nerve conduction study .
