What Causes Pins And Needles Sensation In Fingers?
I have had the flu and have felt very weak for the last couple of days.i started to feel a little better a few hours ago and have been walking around and doing a few things in the house.i am concerned now as i have pins and needles in my finger tips in both hands.is this anything i should be concerned about?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
Pins and needles is often temporary, but it can sometimes be long-lasting (chronic). They usually aren't serious or harmful and often go away on their own. The medical name for pins and needles is paraesthesia. This affects the blood supply to certain areas of the body, such as the fingers and toes, and is usually triggered by cold temperatures, anxiety or stress. Other common reasons for temporary pins and needles include dehydration and hyperventilating (breathing too quickly). There is nothing to worry about.
Hope this answers your question. If you have any additional questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your question. Thanks & Regards, Dr.Shiwani
