What Causes Platelet Value Of 547 While Treating Anaerobic Pneumonia?
My recent labs were great except platelet value at 547. I have had easy bruising for a couple years, and expected the level to be low. I also am recovering from a nasty bout of anaerobic pneumonia. Prior labs (2012, 08) have indicated platelets around 300.

A high level of platelets happens in inflammatory situation. Anaerobic Pneumonia is an important inflammation for the organism. That could be a good reason for Trombocytosis in blood.
