What Causes Poor Weight Gain In A 8 Month Old?
Sir, My son is 8 months old.But still his weight is only 5.5kg.He has VSD.The hole is 2.7mm.My paed said it was very small it will close automatically.Is it the reason for his underweight.I give him only homemade food? Can I try cerelac for his weight gain? Pls give me idea.

Heart disease causes poor weight gain in babies. As the defect closes, she will gradually gain weight. As of now take necessary precautions to prevent infection. You can give formula feeds like cerelac to gain extra weight.
