Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it is quite satisfactory weight loss if it surely is one pound a week as weight loss should be gradual and it is usually more long lasting than rapid weight loss whichmayalso be some significant side effects. Though for satisfaction thyroid profile should definitely be done and a close dietician liason alongside persistent exercises with at least 10-14 hours a week of aerobic exercise should be continued.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
