What Causes Popping In Ears Upon Blowing The Nose And Sneezing?
Hi my names Mariha.i just got over a nasty sinus bug.i didn t go to the doctor and just used over the counter medicine I feel so much better and it s been 3 days since I ve been sick but now every time I blow my nose or sneeze my ear pops and I lose my equilibrium.every now and then my left ear and rarly my right ear everything starts to sound fuzzy and feels like there is something clogging it

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of popping in ears upon blowing the nose and sneezing. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergies , hay fever , nasal polyps , chemical exposures , chronic sinusitis , tumors and a deviated septum. In some cases mucus spread from upper respiratory tract infection to ears through eustachian tube and cause popping in ears. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan , nasal endoscopy, endoscopic examination and blood tests . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestant or expectorant . Doctor may also prescribe anti allergic or recommend surgery in case of deviated nasal septum or nasal polyp . For now apply warm compress on nose , keep your head elevated while sleeping , take steam , also apply dry warm compresses on external ear and take benadryl twice a day .
