What Causes Positive Pregnancy Result 3 Months After An Abortion?

I had a medical abortion 3 months ago and after that also it showed i was still pregnant . So i had a surgical abortion and it has been 2 months since then and i haven t had my period . I also did my video x-ray but there is nothing ... What might be the problem ? Can you please help me .

Hi,

Periods may be longer or shorter, lighter or heavier. These my be irregular or even may be absent for some time after a surgical abortion. This is very much normal and therefore, one should wait for 3 cycles or 3 months, for the periods to be normal as before. However, if the problem persists, even after this period, then you are advised to consult your doctor to find the cause and treatment accordingly.
