What Causes Positive Pregnancy Test And Vaginal Bleeding?

I have had 3 at home pregnancy tests. I scheduled appointment with obgyn for 2 weeks out. I started cramping about 3 days ago. Bleeding started yesterday. Which is around the time my period should have began. Cramping became intense. I called after hour nurse they recommend that I go to er. Er doc preformed urine test also came out positive. They did blood work and checked HCG levels. They also did external and internal ultrasounds. The er doc came back in 2 hours later and told me my levels were only 3. They did not see a fetus on ultrasound. She explained that I could be at the very beginning of pregnancy or very end of miscarriage. They couldn t give me a straight answer. My last period began August 15. July s started the 21st and June s began the 24th. Can you please give me some insight on what you think it may be?

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your pregnancy and miscarriage issue.

As per your history it seems to me that you are having a 27 day period that means it would had been around 28 august, the conception date. Now the pregnancy is less then two weeks old it is defficult to check it with USG that is why they didn't told you.
Because the situation of your bleeding is current (miscarriage if any) that means there is hormonal traces already in blood and urine.

Both the cases no body will tell you proper position. Pregnancy must be counted only after you miss at least a period and check for pregnancy test otherwise around 15-20 pregnancy are terminated because of issues like genetic etc by nature within first two weeks of conception.

In my opinion, yes there are much chances of early miscarriage in your case.
