What Causes Positive Results For VDRL Test Post Penicillin Injections?

Hi, À month back I got my VDRL which was reactive 1:8, TPHA was negative. After three penicillin injections in three weeks 1.2 in each area, I again for my tests done. Now the results for VDRL is reactive 1:2.. Could u please tell me, what this now.. And what further need to be done.

Hi,

The dose of penicillin is either insufficient OR infection is penicillin resistant. You need culture and sensitivity test done to confirm and then get suitable antibiotic in needful complete dosage. Please discuss with your doctor.
