What Causes Post Nasal Drip?

I have a constant drip from my nostrils. For no reason at all, my nostril will drip ... and some time when I bend over, without any sign or sympton something will drop from my nostril. My nostril periodically run so much that I have irritated skin from the constant blowing and patting with tissue.
