Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Today im 4weeks postpartum. Bled until 3weeks. Was having cramps so went to the doc. Today. No tenderness in belly just menstrual like cramps no fever even had a trans ultrasound to check for leftover..at 2 weeks. Blood work was all good. Doc says my period could be coming back.does that sound right?
Yes, this is a problem. The stomach cramps are associated with periods or retained products of conception which are not there according to the ultrasound. This means that your doctor could be right that you be having periods coming back though you soon. Your blood works are good so no need of much worry. Take some pain killers and give it few days. If no improvement the consult obstetrician or gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
