My 45 year old husband has had a pounding headache for three days, His back hurts and he is extremely thirsty. these are all very unusual for him he has been working midnights for the past year and is definately not getting enough sleep. He is concerned that it is his kidneys?? He is a police officer and has never complained about pain before. whatch think ?

I don't think headache and backache are related. Headache could be due to high BP eyestrain lack of sleep migraine . Backache could be due to physical strain vertebral problem disc problem radiculopathies etc . It requires physical examination . I advise to take a physician consultation for headache and orthopedic consultation for backache.
