What Causes Pregnancy Even After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

Hello, I had unprotected sex on April 14 and took a Plan b within 14 hours after condom came off inside. I got it out without breaking. I began norethindrone .35 on April 15 until April 18. Stopped because I didn t like how I felt. Now I have positive pregnancy test and was wondering of plan b and BC failed or if I got pregnant after stopping pill.

Irregular intake of Oc pill not able to prevent pregnancy

Plan B pill very much effective in preventing pregnancy if taken within 72 hour of unprotected intercourse....

So plan b failure seem less likely cause

You might be pregnant if you have unprotected intercourse history after 15 April

Another possibility is there might be unprotected intercourse before 12 April

I will advise you now to consult gynecologist and get examined with USG pelvis which is confirmatory and exact dating also possible with USG

If then you want to abort then discuss with gynecologist
