What Causes Presence Of Fetal Pole With Lack Of Cardiac Activity?

hello can any doctor give me a consultation on:

i am pregnent of 6 week and have done vaginal ultrasound today wherein fetal pole is found +ive and no cardiac activity was detected. further i have thyoride of 14.9 (TSH). doctor was saying a follow up ultrasound after one week and also saying due to high thyoride there would be problem in embrio development especially mind. which may cause down syndrome of the baby if birth happen..... i might have some misconception which are:

is it right that i would not give birth if cardiac activity comes in next week ultrasound.... keeping in mind the doctors advise of down syndrom?

further slow growth of baby (mentally and physically) if i give birth to it?

please advise as early as you can...Thanks
