What Causes Pressure And Discomfort In The Upper Abdomen?

Hi. For the past few days I have been feeling queasy and have an uncomfortable feeling of pressure in my upper abdominal area. I have normal bowel movements, no blood or abnormal colouration in stools and don t have heart burn or acid reflux symptoms. I feel better in the morning when I wake up, but as soon as I get up and going the discomfort and nausea returns. Food does not seem to make it better or worse, but I am noticing that my appetite is decreasing. What can be the cause of this yucky feeling?

Hi,

By your history and description, you should definitely get done ultrasound examination of the abdomen to rule out any abdominal pathology. If ultrasound is normal then no need to worry much.

Just eat a healthy diet, take probiotics, fruits and drink plenty of fluids orally. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
