General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. It is better to take an ECG to rule out cardiac cause of chest pain. Better to undergo stress test if you getting any discomfort on exertion also. If that is clear then it can be most likely due to gastritis or musculoskeletal pain. In that case you can take proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ) or h2 blockers like Ranitidine ( zantac ).

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
