What Causes Pressure And Fullness In Lower Abdomen Along With Diarrhea?
I have been experiencing pressure and fullness in my lower abdomen for about 1-1/2 weeks. I care for a child who is now quite 2, so I usually do a lot of liftimg without any discomfort. I am also experiencing diarrhea. I have been very stressed .. Living with my daughter and grandson who is going through a divorce. It definitely feels better when I rest it and I have even applied a cold pack which really helped. I m 58 years old, female, had a colonoscopy last year that was perfectly clear, and I m in good health. I take .125 mg synthroid, 50 mg Zoloft, and 10 mg zocor daily along with 2000 mg omega 3 and a multivitamin daily. I don t have any discomfort today except the diarrhea.

Do you have associated fever? Is the stool blood stained or contains mucus?
Diarrhea of -1.51 weeks duration along with abdominal discomfort may be from acute gastroenteritis. As it is already 10 days, it is better to get a stool routine examination done to decide about antibiotic treatment. Your doctor will guide you.
Meanwhile, drink enough fluids like ORS solution to avoid dehydration, avoid juices and sugary items. Medicines you mentioned can be continued as before.
