General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. It seems you had caused disc(between two vertebrae) weakness/stress to pelvic joint ,while you had lifted heavy weight.Boththe vertebrae being compressed on sitting posture ... give pain &heaviness both due to nerve compression. while standing erect..such compression is relieved&the symptoms stop. (You can take over the counter pain medicine/hot or cold compression for temporary relief.) You must exclude such problem by MRI..&start getting physiotherapy earliest along with needful oral/injectable medicines. If left untreated the symptoms may get aggravated&start even while standing or walking. please consult a orthopedic surgeon. Thanks
