What Causes Pressure Behind The Head And Ears After A Tooth Extraction?
I have a pressure at the back of the head, eyes and in my ears last few weeks. Last week I had a tooth pulled out and seems that everything is getting much more unbearable to cope with. Taking Panadols very 4 hours ATM to control the pain caused by the tooth extraction.Seems that the pressure is constant now and have a feeling that my mouth is full of saliva all the time
Severe pain after a week of tooth extraction can be due to Dry Socket formation that is an unhealed socket due to loss of blood clot... It can cause severe pain and is appearing to be most probable cause and irritation and inflammation inside mouth can cause excessive salivation.. Pressure at the back of head, ears and eyes can be due to the tooth that is extracted while can also be due to Sinus infection or Sinusitis.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like x ray of extraction areas and PNS VIEW x ray of sinuses can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now take anti-inflammatory painkillers Ibuprofen or Naproxen.. Take decongestant nasal spray like Xylometazoline...
Hope this helps..
Regards..
