Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 60 y/o female. Have always been in good health. Not on any medication. About 1 week ago I began to develop sores in my mouth. Last Saturday I developed chest pressure for a couple of hours but it went away. Sunday the same thing but it lasted longer. Stopped at CVS and had my blood pressure taken and it was normal. Have been feeling good until today. The pressure came back about 3 hours ago.
Pressure feeling in the chest has to be investigated especially in elderly. generally the heart problems do cause chest discomfort that is more like tightness in the chest or chest pressure like heavy weight. The blood pressure may be normal and normal blood pressure does not rule out problems with the heart.
You will need to have an ECG and a heart ultrasound to make sure your heart is well.
I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
