What Causes Pressure In Roof Of Mouth?

HI there...........I have been really sick since Oct. 2013 thinking it was sinus prob. my Doctor told me I had Chronic Sinusitis and there was nothing he can do for me. The pressure in the middle of my head is so bad it feels like my head is going to explode, I also have pressure in the roof of my mouth, like its inflamed in the middle of my head and it pulsates from the middle to the nose, and at times during the day my neck pulsates. I seen another ENT on Friday and she told me I did NOT have CS and has refered me to the Neurologist. I was told there maybe a 6 month wait to see them....this pressure scares the heck out of me I can barely sleep due to the pressure and rarely able to function day to day, I used to be a runner and that hasnt happened in over a year i have gained weight and a sad. please help :(

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pressure in the middle of head along with pressure over the roof of mouth and also pulsation in the middle of nose and neck seems to be most probably due to Sinus infection or Sinusitis only..

For confirmation consult an Otolaryngologist or an ENT expert and get evaluated..
He can do investigations like PNS VIEW or MRI SCAN of the sinuses and confirm the treatment accordingly..

You can be advised:
-Antibiotics like Augmentin OR Azithromycin to resolve the infection, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain, doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room..
-Use decongestant nasal spray like Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
-Do.warm compresses around nostrils..
