What Causes Pressure In The Chest Along With Dizziness And Breathing Difficulty?

I have been experiencing what I would describe as my heart seems to be working overtime since Tuesday. It sounds and feels like it is going to explode. It is pounding so hard I am having a hard time sleeping at night as it is so distracting. I have had similar occurrences in the past year but they have been infrequent. This has gone on fairly regular since Tuesday. These are sometimes accompanied by dizziness and shortness of breath. I don t feel like I need to go the ER since I am in no pain, but it is more of a distraction now and I am not able to sleep. What do you advise?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

You will need an EKG to rule out cardiac arrhythmias and underlying coronary artery disease.
Som patients especially diabetic patients will not have chest pain with Coronary artery disease.
Please be advised to follow up with emergency room.
Also take 2 aspirin now if available at home.

Hope this answers your question
