I have had a mildew smell in my truck. Today I noticed a small bottle of drain o leaked out and ruined several items of clothing, but I have been breathing this toxic smell for several months. Now I m noticing a pressure in the back left top of my head. Worried!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Smelling mildew for quite some time is not healthy. It may lead to cough, sore throat/irritation, asthma & skin irritation, allergy & infection. Pressure in the head that you are feeling is a side effect of the infection that is developing due to smelling mildew. Take antihistamines (Levocetrizine) once daily for 5 days & Acetaminophen (Tylenol) one SOS for relieve, stay in open air where you can breath plenty of oxygen, stay well hydrated. Visit ER, if discomfort. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Nupur K.
